Bree's Blessings was created in memory of Bree Brown, a 15-year-old from Southern Indiana who lost her battle to Ewing's Sarcoma in June 2018.

 

Bree fought a long, courageous battle over the course of 2 1/2 years. She found solace through art and music. It helped her cope with the changes taking place both, in her body and her mind. 

 

During treatments, she participated in art and music therapy; building lasting relationships with her therapists. She very much relied on creativity as an outlet. Soon she was creating art pieces, playing the ukulele, and even making ukuleles. 

 

She also had a deep love for makeup. It helped her cope with hair loss and other physical changes brought on by the chemotherapy. She became quite the makeup artist throughout treatment and enjoyed both glamour and special effects makeup. 

 

She had high hopes of becoming a music therapist to help children cope with their cancer diagnosis and treatments. 

 

Unfortunately, she was told she wouldn't have much time left on this great Earth. In her final weeks, she gave very specific details of what she wanted her to charity to be and Bree's Blessings was born.
